Email is a great way of communication is todays world, however, the time that only trustworthy people used email is long gone. Today many people with an online identity receive SPAM/UCE on daily if not hourly basis. As the latest SPAM/UCE seems to be more and more pornography this has become a very serious concern. For this reason Digital Daemon offers the usage of blacklist's at http://www.spamcop.net/, http://www.dsbl.org/ and http://www.ordb.org/. The usage of these blacklist's is an automated process. It basically means that when someone sends email to a domain for which the blacklist's have been activated, the sender of the email is being checked at the moment the communication for the transfer of the message is being setup. If the sender is being registered as a SPAM/UCE source the message transfer is being declined and the sender will receive a message with the reason.
Activation of the blacklist's for a hosted domain is not default. The backside of using blacklist's is that some one might be sending legal non SPAM/UCE email through a system which is know as a SPAM/UCE source. With blacklist's activated on a domain this domain would not receive this message.
